Build what is useful
If it does not help the business, it does not belong in the build. Fancy is optional. Useful is not.
Keep things understandable
If we cannot explain it in plain English, we have not understood it ourselves. Jargon is not a deliverable.
Be honest about complexity
Some problems are hard. Pretending otherwise is just showing off, and it helps nobody.
Design for the people using it
Software that only makes sense to the person who built it is not finished. The people doing the job have to be able to use it on a busy Wednesday.
Create solutions that can evolve
Good technology should keep up as the business changes, not sit there like a monument to last year’s assumptions.
From CRM to broader technology
